The rules in this poker room - or the no rules at times; are the most outrageous and insane I've ever seen anywhere not only in American but overseas.
The non-verbal action is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Obviously this invention was created by someone that has never played poker in their life. Most dealers are awesome with the exception of a few that have no business touching a deck of cards. The managers running the poker room are always the rudest staff in the room.. that has proved over and over and over again.
This room needs outside professional management to turn it into the potential it really has.

  1. When you catch one, you redeem it for cash prizes at the Natural Resources Enforcement Office, 517 Sequoyah Trail, Cherokee, NC 28719, which is across the street from Cherokee Welcome Center off Hwy 441. Prize redemption hours are from 4 p.m. Each tournament day.
  2. Find Harrah's hotels and casinos in Las Vegas, Atlantic City and more locations around the country. Join the fun, come out and play.

Cherokee Nc Poker Tournament Schedule

I’ve been a fairly regular visitor to Cherokee’s poker room for the last few years and, for the most part, it has been a very positive experience. But they recently changed the format of all their daily tournaments to what is a very aggressive blind structure, trying to keep the duration of tournaments to as short a time as possible.
It has pretty much turned them into nothing more than crapshoots, and has really reduced the enjoyment and the incentive to play in these tournaments.
On the other side of the coin, they have added high hand and bad beat jackpots, which has made the cash games a lot more interesting, although the house rake of $8 max/hand is a little out of line, considering the lack of comped drinks. I guess being the only poker room within a 350 mile radius lets the house set the rules any way they want. It could be worse. It could be better.
